Now, this is an odd game that many don't hear from time to time, Taiko. Taiko No Tatsujin: Drum Session is a PS4-only rhythm game that is a part of the Taiko no Tatsujin series by Bandi Namco and BNE Entertainment, which was released for PS4 on October 26th, 2017, in Japan and on November 2nd, 2018, in North America and other regions. The game continues the series long going history of it's rhythm-based gameplay along with Bandi Namco's odd planning of having a similar version of the game on different consoles but with certain songs accessible on different consoles and putting songs as paid DLC. By all means it not bad game. It isn't a high critical game either but it is a fun stress reliever and a fun game to play with friends, that is if you're not going for its trophies. By this point, I don't have this game's platinum trophy and I don't want to because this game has one of the most hardest platinum trophies out there, but it is also one that has no recognition. For this I wanna show each the trophies in different categories to show how hard getting the platinum is because I don't have it at all. Plus I will be only focusing on the PlayStation trophies instead because I don't remember the Xbox version and it's the game so It might apply with this one as well. At the bottom of this blog is a link to a trophy list of this game showing all the trophies. There isn't a guide that can help this so for this blog, it will go into a full description of these trophies instead of how to get them. Well except for the easy ones. Here is the Taiko Trophy list.

RANKED TROPHIES
To start off we have the Ranked trophies. These trophies can only be obtained through the Ranked mode of the game. In Ranked mode, you compete against other players online. There are five trophies for ranked, 2 require consecutive wins and the other 3 require reaching a rank. For the wins, you need to win 3 matches consecutively for one trophy and other requires 10 wins. For the reaching a specific rank, you need to reach rank 30, rank 40, and rank 50 for all three trophies. There aren't a lot of ranked trophies but this does show the hard road ahead from getting the platinum trophy.

HIGH SCORE TROPHIES
The high score trophies require the player to has to reach a specific score at the end of a song. However, these trophies and bunch of others have you needing to beat the first score trophy first. To better explain that, let's say you get a score of 240,000, you won't get the 200,000 score trophy first, you'll get the 100,000 trophy first. But the 200,000 trophy won't unlock until you beat another song with a higher score than 200,000. That how some of these trophies work in this game. Similar to the ranked trophies, there are a total of 5 high score trophies and they go in this order, 100,000 -> 200,000 -> 400,000 -> 800,000 -> 1,000,000. Just remember, you need to get the previous score trophy before you get the next one.

BINGO AND SONG CLEARING TROPHIES
When finishing a song, you also fill out spots on a bingo card that is connected to each song. To note, there are some trophies involving clearing all the songs as well. To start, you need to clear a song without using support, which is very easy trophy. However, you get all the song clear trophies, you need to clear every song, which is a total of 100 songs. This also means clearing all 100 bingo cards. Some bingo cards need you to pull off specific tasks in each song in order to fill a space, but you need to fill all of the spaces to finish a card. You would need to play the song twice, one on easy difficulty and one on normal. Sometimes it is not case and you need to do it on normal twice or more. There would be a secondary bingo card available after clearing the first which requires the player to play the song on Hard and Extreme difficulty but they not require for the platinum unless you decide to clear them as well. For song clearing, there are 3 trophies, clear 5 songs, clear 20 songs, and clear 100 songs. For bingo cards, it is to clear 1 card, clear 10 cards, and clear 100 cards. Now we get into song clearing again, but with difficulty.

SONG DIFFICULTY CLEARING TROPHIES
The image shows the 4 main difficulties of the game: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Extreme. For these trophies, you must clear the songs again but on a different difficulty. Luckily, you don't need to clear all 100 again. There are 9 in total, 2 each for Normal, Hard, and Extreme and 3 for Easy. I already discussed the Easy trophies so for the rest of this part will focus on the other 3 difficulties. For Normal difficulty, the first trophy needs the player to clear 10 songs on normal difficulty, and then 50 songs for the second one. For Hard difficulty, the first trophy requires 20 songs to be cleared and the second one needs 40 to be cleared. Lastly for Extreme Difficulty, the player needs to clear 15 songs for the first trophy and then 45 for the other. It is also to note that you cannot have support on at all for any of these so basically, never have support on at all.

COMBO TROPHIES
The Combo Trophies requires the player to reach their combo meter to a specific number of combos by the end of the song. Similar with the High Score trophies, they need to be obtained in order. To make things worse, a combo can be broken if the player presses the wrong buttons or misses a note. To make these trophies worst, they require playing on Ranked Mode on Extreme difficulty because of how painful the amount of combos the player has to pull off. There are 5 trophies and here is the order you have to do them in: 100 combos -> 200 combos -> 400 combos -> 800 combos -> 999 combos. THAT IS A LOT.

Consecutive Clear Trophies
The consecutive clear trophies require you to clear songs in a row. Some of these trophies require you to them a different difficulties to obtain certain versions of these trophies. These trophies also require to clear these without the help of support. 2 trophies can be obtained by clearing them on easy which are clearing 3 songs in a row, and clearing 10 songs in a row. Then the player must clear 10 songs in a row on Hard difficulty. Next, 10 song in a row but on Extreme. Now this last one is a bit confusing, clear 5 songs in a row in Extreme difficulty but with either the same amount of star or star in a ascending order. To explain, when you decide what difficulty you want to play the song, there are stars on the bottom of each difficulty. See the image above the Song difficulty trophies section for reference. You see how it says 3 stars on extreme. For this trophy, you either clear 5 songs on Extreme in a row with 3 stars on it or clear 5 songs in a row on Extreme in a ascending order which means 3 -> 4 -> 5 -> 6 -> 7.

Relay Trophies
Now for these trophies, what you need to do is clear songs and have a total number of hits build up to get these trophies, but there a catch, you need to do different songs, restarting a song breaks the count, and support cannot be used. First you need to have a total of 2,000 hits across full combos consecutively along with another trophy needing to be 5,000 hits. Then you need to same thing again but get 5,000 hits on Hard difficulty. Next, 10,000 hits on Extreme. Finally, this one is the worst one, you need to have 10,000 hits consecutively on Extreme but on a 8+ star extreme difficulty. This is what torture looks like.

OTHER TROPHIES
These last trophies are single trophies that aren't a part of group. One trophy requires you to play with a friend, yeah that it, just play with a friend, online or a second controller. Beat a score in best replay which is to beat your original saved score on one song with a new high score. You need to get a full combo on a song without support which means you can't miss one note in any song to get a full combo. Finally, the hardest of the single trophies, THE PERFECTIONIST, which requires the player to not miss a single note but also time the note perfectly and get every note a good rating so you need a full 100% good rating, no oks or misses, you need only goods. This trophy was the only hard trophy I have gotten from this game and it took me months of trail and error. Who to thought, the best song to use for this trophy is the Hello Kitty theme on easy.

OVERALL
Yeah so that basically the whole trophy list. It very painful that such a chill and fun game like Taiko would have such a ridiculous and painful platinum trophy. Now at the moment, only 334 players on PSN have obtained this platinum out of a total 18,000 player who own this game. It would be crazy to see someone try to get this platinum even after seeing this blog. Would you accept that challenge? If you do, good luck. Overall, despite that platinum being very hard, it is a very fun that I recommend trying out on any console since there is a bunch and they are almost basically the same game. Anyway, thank you for your time. And here is the PSN trophy list for this game, ENJOY!!!!
