PlayStation Spring Sale 2023: What Games to check out

So for a different blog for this week I thought it was a good idea to check out the different games that are on sale on PlayStation's Spring sale which many will be able to save up to 75% off on games ad additional content that would be on sale. At the moment of this blog, there are 16 days left of this sale as the sale will conclude on April 26th 2023. There are 4 different categories in this sales from Best Sellers to Hidden Gems along with Multiplayer Games and Games Under $20. So for this, I thought it would be a great idea to look at some games that many should check out that are currently on sale. I will only be focusing on the games themselves along with their original price, how much percent off they are at the moment, and their current price due to the sale. Any additional content will be put to the side or won't be talked about at all.

MARVEL'S SPIDER MAN MILES MORALES

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a 2020 action-adventure video game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. This was a mini-sequel to set up Miles character before the events of the upcoming Spider Man 2 game which releases later this year. It isn't a too long of game but it has a fantastic story that brings Miles character into the main light and develops his role as hero. It's great game.

LEGO STAR WARS: THE SKYWALKER SAGA

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a 2022 Lego-themed action-adventure game developed by Traveller's Tales and published by Warner Bros. Games. It is the sixth installment in the Lego Star Wars video game series. This Lego Star Wars game is the largest out of the not only the Lego Star Wars franchise but also all other Lego games that have came since then. This game combines all 9 movies of the Skywalker saga and while many may have their preferred trilogy or have a massive dislike with the recent trilogy, this is one massive Lego game that boasts a lot of fun and a lot of content packed into one.

SIFU

Sifu is a beat 'em up video game developed and published by French studio Sloclap. Set in modern-day China, players control the child of a martial arts school's sifu who seeks revenge on those responsible for their father's death. This game received many praise for it's difficulty, fun and fast beat em up gameplay and it's main mechanic of when your character dies, they come back stronger but they also age meaning your character might start off 20 but then becomes 35 and is now stronger, meaning the player must practices on not dying many times.

GHOSTWIRE TOKYO

Ghostwire: Tokyo is a 2022 action-adventure game developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game released worldwide on March 25, 2022 as a one-year timed exclusive for PlayStation 5 and Windows. The game is set for release on Xbox Series X/S on April 12, 2023. While the game does have it gameplay that could become repetitive for some, the game boasts a good story, an interesting open world of a empty Tokyo and some interesting lore on Japanese Yo-kai and folklore.

Watch Dogs 2 is a 2016 action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is the sequel to 2014's Watch Dogs and the second installment in the Watch Dogs series. This game improves over the first game, bringing in a more ridiculous and fun story while building up more on the hacking mechanics and world while taking a bit of a step back with the weapons. This was a fun game.

LITTLE NIGHTMARES 2

Little Nightmares II is a puzzle-platform horror adventure game developed by Tarsier Studios, published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is the prequel to Little Nightmares. The game is also the last in the franchise. Despite that it builds upon the world to learn more about the Maw and the unknown horrors that lay within it's world.

JUDGEMENT

Judgment is an action-adventure video game developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega. A spin-off to the Like a Dragon series, it was released for the PlayStation 4 in December 2018 in Japan and June 2019, worldwide. This spin-off to the Yakuza series puts the series in different look with a new characters, mechanics and a focus on mystery. With new fluid gameplay along with side stuff to do and a focus on mystery and solving puzzles, it changes a lot to Yakuza while staying within the charm of the franchise. This spin-off is in a bit of limbo but with one character now in the main character, this spin-off could see more titles soon.

KLONOA: PHANTASY REVERIE SERIES

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is a 2022 Klonoa video game compilation developed by Monkey Craft and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It features remasters of the platform games Klonoa: Door to Phantomile, originally released on PlayStation, and Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil, originally released on PlayStation 2. These remasters came at a huge surprise bringing back a PlayStation hidden icon back to modern day.

YAKUZA 0

Yakuza 0 is an action-adventure game developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega. It is the sixth main entry in the Yakuza series and a prequel to the original game. If any wants to try to get into the series, this is where to start. There are many games in the Yakuza franchise, but the sixth entry to the series is the one to start with since it's a prequel to all of the games and sets up how Kiryu and Majima became the Dragon and Demon they are know in the franchise today.

DEMON TURF

Demon Turf is a 3D platformer action-adventure game developed by Fabraz and published by Playtonic Friends. The game was released November 4, 2021 on Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. While it says the release was 2021, the game came to consoles in 2022. This game brought the modern charm of indie games while trying and succeeding in bringing back the movement and gameplay that made Super Mario 64 great in the first place. It's simple story is easy to grasp, it fluid gameplay makes things fun and it has a charming art style.

But if you do have a PS5 or PS4, make the best use of the sale right now since there are only 16 days left of the sale.
